自然の中で培われた素材や、そこに根ざし生きる人びとの暮らしから木版画を制作。身近にとれる土から絵具を作り、素材から自然を汲み取り、人びとの息遣いを感じる作品を生み出し続けている。

1999年武蔵野美術大学油絵学科卒業後、木版画ワークショップのアシスタントを経て2002年より活動を開始。フィンランド、ノルウェーなど北国での滞在制作・発表のかたわら各地の山を訪ね、近年では自然と共に生きる人びとの言葉や手仕事をテーマにした作品に取り組んでいる。2010年「木版画アトリエ空中山荘」を立ち上げる。ワークショップを通して、手仕事と絵画の要素をあわせ持つ木版画の魅力を伝える活動も行っている。

Born in Osaka in 1976.
She has been involved in woodblock printmaking using materials cultivated in nature, and about the lives of people who are deeply rooted in nature. She continues to make paint from soil obtained in her surroundings, grasp nature with materials, and produce artwork in which the breath of people can be felt.

After receiving her B.A. in Painting from Musashino Art University in 1999, she worked as an assistant for woodblock print workshop. She started her activities from 2002. Besides staying in northern countries such as Finland and Norway to produce and exhibit her artwork, she also visited mountains in various places. Recently, she has been working on artwork with themes on words and handwork of people who coexist with nature. She founded “Kucyusansou Woodblock Printmaking” in 2010. Through workshops, she has been involved in activities to convey her fascination of woodblock print that has elements of both handwork and visual art.
